The modern world has deconstructed every social institution, disassembled the cosmos and disarmed the world of any meaning. Reducing the human experience to a succession of stimuli to serve a soulless system. Science is sacred, the sacred is scorned and humans are suffering.
As a culture and a country, we our spiritually sick, mentally maladjusted and physically poor. Too many of our leaders are narcissistic, psychotic and moral relativists who serve only to enrich themselves. We stumble in darkness because we are blinded by our own haughty hubris and a hunger that hollows our hearts.
We deny evil and it divides us. We falsely believe the world is right versus left. We avoid honest dialogue and humble self-reflection because they would prove too dangerous for our porcelain egos.
The optimism that amplifies AI is another siren song that should terrify any human being, especially any person that proclaims their love for all persons. Intelligence doesn’t equate wisdom and regrettably there are many intelligent people who believe AI will be humanity’s savior, even if humanity already has a Savior.
AI, like every tool and technology, will be manipulated and monetized to serve a select few as opposed to a sharing for all. A knife cuts food or foe; an atom produces energy to power a city or pulverize a people. Humans have an unenviable history of making dangerous and deadly decisions because we cannot discern our love of neighbor for our love of self.
When the titans of tech communicate, “AI will cure cancer,” I roll my eyes. We could have cured cancer years ago, or at least reduced it significantly, but that would require uncomfortable conversations and even more uncomfortable actions. Acknowledging that our healthcare system rewards disease, our food system rewards discounts, and our political system rewards cronyism not compassion.
What would happen to all the infrastructure, all the jobs and all the money that’s spent to cure cancer if we actually cured it? What would happen if we honestly explored generic or homeopathic solutions as opposed to only pharmaceutical brand drugs? What would happen if nutrition and nature were part of our daily health instead of only laboring for wealth?
We can cure cancer, but we have chosen not too. We can feed the world, but we have chosen not too. We can use AI to encourage and support the flourishment of all humans, but we have chosen not too and we won’t.
I remember all the hopeful promises we were told and sold about the internet, like it’ll democratize the world and create a global platform to bring people together. Instead, this technology murdered civility and warped our sense of reality. It rewards divisiveness, narcissism and psychotic behavior. It has become a tool to erode personal privacy and allow governments and corporations to manipulate and illegally spy on citizens.
The internet is a tsunami of falsehoods and fabrications. Profiles of fake people, fake pictures and fake stories. We allowed technology to distort reality because it’s virtual and not live. A tool that’s easily manipulated by those who venerate dominance and who love fame and fortune.
The devil didn’t go to Georgia but went global. The internet has deceived more people than the devil ever could ever have persuaded. It’s become a tool for evil by the very same people who tell us we should trust AI. History isn’t optimistic and neither am I.
What will happen is those in power will use AI to exploit and extort. To dominate and destroy; surveil and subjugate their brothers and sisters. While consuming the earth’s resources for their benefit alone because they are all that matters in their world. You mean nothing to them.
This isn’t prophecy, it’s proven by our past. This is why my faith is in God alone. God is love.
As the selling of AI and it’s deceitful and deadly world view of transhumanism accelerates, humanity will be tested like never before in human history. The wheat will be separated from the chafe; the sheep separated from the goats. The good Shepherd awaits but so does the Deceiver of this world.
You are created in God’s own image; male and female he created them. You are alive because you are filled with the breath of life. You are a light of love and a love of the Light.
