Maintaining Faith When Your Government Deliberately Lies to Cover-up Crimes Against Children

For the majority of my life, before my spiritual awakening, I rarely questioned our government. Believing that they would do no harm. Believing that policy was never about the self-interest of the few, but the sole interest of the many.

I was wrong; very, very wrong. Just like I was wrong about my faith in materialism, my faith in my ego and my faith in something other than Love. God is love.

My “I saw the Light” revival opened not only my heart but also my eyes. No longer blind to the enormous suffering our government has created at home and around the world. Forever wars, overthrowing democratically elected governments, economic injustice, subversions to civil liberty, COVID-19, the mutilation of minors and now, protecting powerful people who have and will probably continue to sexually abuse children.

Both Democratic and Republican political leaders refuse to be transparent about the Epstein crimes, let alone hold those accountable who did terrible things. Just another example of the powerful concealing crimes because they love power as opposed to justice for the power-less.

Control and clout is their god, their false faith. A power that had I succumbed to. A power that has infected humanity beginning with that antediluvian day in an ancient garden. A power that preys on our desires, dreads and doubts. A power that can only be describe as evil because it’s never about love.

Evil manipulating God’s words even after God had given us life and everything required for life to thrive. Humanity encountering evil. Humanity embracing evil. Humanity exalting evil.

Because I believe that loving God and neighbor is not only our highest calling, but the moral foundation of the universe, my anger towards those in power rages. Particularly when the most vulnerable members of our society are preyed upon and exploited like objects as opposed to subjects that reflect the Divine.

I also know that when I let my anger rage, it can easily turn into something that is immoral. In our pursuit for justice, our hearts can be easily ensnared by our own sense of superiority. A lesson repeated age after age; time after time. A lesson I am still learning.

A reminder to myself to wholly believe and fully trust in the goodness of God alone, even when the world is wicked; even when our government is grotesque. Only God can deliver just justice and heal our hurt world. A lesson repeated age after age; time after time. A lesson I am still learning.

My humbled heart reminding me I am not God, even if I’m a child of God. My lasting loyalty is to God, not country. My forever faith is in my Creator, not His creatures. A lesson repeated age after age; time after time. A lesson I am still learning.

I understand that I live in modern-day Babylon. Sadly, the American empire is no different from its past predecessors. Our leaders stonewall transparency and subvert accountability, while remaining silent in their complacency with evil. Abuse of children is always evil.

A demoralizing realization that the powers on the Potomac only care about themselves. We are a simply a means to their own selfishness. A disheartening realization that we continue to elect politicians that don’t care about constituents or children.

A depressing realization that our government will continue to lie, cheat, and steal because they can, and they know it. A discouraging realization because we know it as well. Rubbing more salt in our national wounds by telling us there’s nothing to the Epstein story. Disbelieve because the state has told you.

The Epstein cover-up is just the latest reminder to myself to maintain my focus on honoring God by living a life of love. A reminder that it’s my responsibility to create more love in the world by my words and actions regardless of where I live. A reminder to all people of faith who live under corrupt governments.

Empires whose people and leaders will sit in judgement before God. Even empires that claim that their trust is in God. Even empires that honor God with their lips, but whose hearts are far from God.

Let your light shine in the darkness. Let your love show among the dimness. Let your faith truly be in God alone and not in politicians; human beings who cannot save you or themselves.

May God bless America. May God have mercy on America. May God have mercy on all of us.

Peace. God loves you.
